A MUM has claimed her epileptic 12-year-old daughter’s life-threatening seizures have been cured by cannabis.

Annalise Lujan from Tuscon, Arizona, was participating in a gymnastics competition on April 2 when she suddenly found herself unable to walk.
The next day the little girl was suffering from dangerous seizures forcing doctors to put her into a medical coma.

Doctors at the Phoenix Children's Hospital sought permission from the U.S Food and Drug Administration to treat Annalise with the marijuana derivative cannabidiol (CBD).
After just 48 hours of taking the CBD, Annalise's seizures stopped completely and she woke up from her coma.
Marijuana is being used medically all over the world despite the law in most countries depriving it of medical validity.
In the UK there are teams of people who are living below the law, risking their lives, to grow cannabis products to save children's lives

Groundbreaking research from New York University and Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital found that cannabidiol halved seizures in adults and children suffering with epilepsy.

Annalise's mother Maryann told KVOA:
One day, she was just a healthy young lady, going to school, participating in her community and her gymnastics, and the next day - fighting for her life.
She was afraid. She cried. And, I whispered to her that she was very strong, she's beautiful, and she's strong, and she needed to keep breathing, and she did.

CBD has very low levels of THC (the substance that creates the high) but has been very successful in treating epilepsy, cancer and numerous other diseases.
Annalise is in recovery and will need therapy to regain some cognitive function.
Her family have set up a GoFundMe page, and have raised almost $17,000.
